Meet Jonathan
A strong voice for Catholic education. A trusted voice for Ward 9.
Jonathan Santos is running for TCDSB Trustee in Ward 9 because he believes Catholic education is worth protecting, local schools deserve thoughtful leadership, and families deserve a trustee who is visible, accessible and accountable.
“Faith matters. Families matter.
The future of our schools matter.”
— Jonathan Santos
Why I’m Running
Catholic education has always represented more than academics. It is about faith, values, community and the partnership between families, schools and parishes.
As I began looking more closely at the schools across Ward 9, I saw just how different their needs can be. Some are thriving. Others face enrolment pressures, changing communities and difficult decisions about their future. What became clear to me is that every school deserves thoughtful representation and every family deserves to know their voice is being heard.
I’m running because I believe we can protect what makes Catholic education special while making responsible, forward-looking decisions for the students who will inherit it.
For Me, It’s Personal
Like so many families in our community, I care deeply about the kind of education and values we pass on to the next generation.
I want our Catholic schools to remain places where students are challenged academically, supported personally and grounded in a strong sense of faith, belonging and community.
The decisions trustees make today will have consequences long after this election. I want to make sure those decisions are thoughtful, responsible and centred on the people they affect most.
I’m ready to listen.
Ward 9 is a large and diverse community, and no trustee will understand every school or every family from day one.
My commitment is to listen, learn, show up and work hard on your behalf.
I would be honoured to earn your trust and your vote.
